1. Who we are
OWENTANDO TV Network is a South African digital streaming and media platform belonging to Owentando Trading and Projects. Our business address is 31 Railway Street, Pietermaritzburg, 3201, KwaZulu-Natal, South Africa. In these terms, “OWENTANDO”, “we”, “us” and “our” refer to OWENTANDO TV Network.
2. Acceptance of these terms
By visiting the website, creating an account, streaming content, submitting content or using any OWENTANDO service, you agree to these terms and the policies linked below. If you do not agree, do not use the service. Creator uploads and earnings are also governed by the Creator Terms and any signed creator agreement.
3. Eligibility and accounts
- You must provide accurate, current information and keep your login details secure.
- You are responsible for activity performed through your account unless you promptly report unauthorised access.
- Users under 18 must use the service with the involvement and permission of a parent or legal guardian.
- We may require identity, ownership or payment verification for creator, payment or administrative features.
4. Permitted use
The service is provided for lawful personal viewing, legitimate business enquiries and approved creator activity. Unless we expressly authorise it in writing, you may not copy, download, rebroadcast, sell, scrape, reverse-engineer, bypass security or access controls, interfere with the platform, impersonate another person, upload malware, or use content for unauthorised commercial purposes.
5. Content and intellectual property
The platform design, OWENTANDO branding, graphics, original productions and other materials are protected by intellectual property law. Films, music, programmes and other third-party works remain owned by their respective rights holders. Access to the platform does not transfer ownership or grant permission to reproduce or distribute any work.
If you submit content, you confirm that you own it or hold all permissions required to publish and monetise it. See our Copyright Policy.
6. Availability and external services
Some videos may be delivered through YouTube or another approved provider. Their terms and privacy practices may also apply. We work to keep the platform available but do not guarantee uninterrupted access. Maintenance, network failures, rights restrictions, security incidents or events outside our reasonable control may affect availability.
7. Moderation, suspension and termination
We may review, restrict, reject or remove content, and may suspend or terminate an account, when reasonably necessary to enforce these terms, protect users or rights holders, comply with law, or maintain platform security. Where appropriate, we will provide a reason and an opportunity to contact support.
8. Disclaimers and responsibility
The service is supplied on an “as available” basis. To the extent allowed by South African law, OWENTANDO is not responsible for indirect or consequential loss caused by unavailable services, user conduct, third-party platforms or unauthorised use. Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded, or limits rights you may have under applicable consumer law.
9. Privacy and communications
Our Privacy Policy explains how we process personal information. Service messages may be sent by email, telephone, WhatsApp or through the platform. Marketing messages will be managed in accordance with applicable law and your communication choices.
10. Governing law and changes
These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of South Africa. We may update them when the service, law or business model changes. The updated date will appear at the top of this page. Material changes will be communicated where reasonably practicable. Continued use after an update means the revised terms apply.
